As of 1/1/2015, Dr. Daniel Einstein is no longer with Shawsheen Medical Associates. Dr. Einstein has taken on a new role as the medical director of Integr8 (integr8mass.com). Dr. Einstein was previously in the forefront of physician advocacy and implementation of medical marijuana in Maine. We will miss him and wished him well in his new leadership position.
Sharon Rubrake MD graduated from the Akron General Hospital School of Nursing in 1966 with a R.N, & from Akron University earning a B.S in Natural Science and an M.S. in Biology. She earned her MD in 1978 from the Medical College of Ohio. Moving to Texas, she did her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine, completing these in 1981. Since then she has practiced Internal Medicine in walk-in and office settings in the greater Boston area. She has practiced at Shawsheen Medical Associates since its opening in 2000. In 1992, she graduated from the New England School of Acupuncture (NESA). She has an acupuncture practice in Watertown in addition to clinical supervision of students at NESA. Outside of her interests include cooking and folk dancing.
Suetta Tenney MD grew up in New Jersey, and graduated from Smith College with a degree in Biochemistry. At Smith, she sang with the classical choruses, including 2 European Tours with the Chambers Singers. She entered George Washington School of Medicine, in DC, and completed Tufts School of Medicine in Boston. She did her internship and residency at The Cambridge Hospital, and the Cambridge Harvard Community Health Plan, as their focus was on training general internists. Since then she has worked in community practices north of Boston as she has raised her family with her husband Bob, and cared for her mother and sister.
Throughout her career, she has developed expertise as her patients needs and her interests dictated. She is a former speaker for the Mass Eating Disorders Association on the medical management of Eating Disorders’ patients, has spoken on women’s health, on general wellness and geriatrics. Our practice has a large community geriatrics component, and she is past medical director or Wingate at Andover and The Meadows at Edgewood in North Andover. She has participated in many hospital committees, including ethics, quality assurance and communication between the community clinician and the hospital staff. In addition, she has worked closely with alternative medicine clinicians, thus developing an expertise in Integrative Medicine. Dr. Tenney works with patients to integrate allopathic medicine with many modalities including whole-food nutrition, meditation, exercise, yoga, martial arts, aromatherapy, chiropractic, acupuncture and others. She is also Board Certified in Hospice and Palliative Care.
Outside of medicine, she enjoying many types of choral music, and is studying sound healing. She enjoys being outdoors, hiking, and water-sports. She is a former assistant Girl Scout leader and active in many aspects of The West Parish Church in Andover.
Joshua Farber-Sault NP is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner who joined Shawsheen Medical Associates in 2012. He earned a Masters of Science in Nursing from MGH Institute of Health Professions. His interests include caring for patients across the lifespan and education. Joshua is a CPR instructor and has previously worked in other settings, including emergency care and as a clinical nursing instructor for Regis College.
Anne Megginniss NP joined the practice in October of 2010. She has been practicing in the field of nursing since 1998, after graduating from The University of Delaware; she continued her education and received her advanced nursing degree (Family Nurse Practitioner) from Graceland University. She has experience in emergency care and education. Anne currently lives in North Hampton, NH with her family. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, gardening, and heading to the beach.
Joanna G. Peatfield NP is a board certified Gerontological Nurse Practitioner who joined Shawsheen Medical Associates in 2012. She earned a Master of Science in Nursing from University of Massachusetts Lowell. Joanna’s clinical interests include caring for clients at the end of life as well as supporting families at this difficult time. She is a part time instructor at Framingham State University for nursing students. In addition, Joanna has an Education Specialist degree. She is a member of Honor Society of Nursing Sigma Theta Tau International, the American Geriatrics Society, as well as the American Associates of Nurse Practitioners.
